Description
This 1993 Beneteau 445 is a great opportunity for a handy buyer to own a well-built blue water cruiser at a fraction of the cost of a new boat. The boat needs some work and all systems should be thoroughly checked upon purchase, but it seems structurally sound and has a lot of potential.
The hull is shared with the Beneteau First 45F5, which is a big deal for ocean sailors!
One person can sail this big boat from the cockpit, but why keep it to your self when you have three generous staterooms and a spacious saloon?
A large swim step and walk through transom is another great design feature.
Two Lewmar 43ST Winches and Two Lewmar 52ST Winches sit on the cabin top forward of the cockpit for easy handling of the sails. A lewmar traveler assists with Mainsail handling.
Sails: Mainsail is in need or repair or replacement, as is the stackpack.
Installed foresail needs repair to the uv strip
Spare 155 genoa is likely original
Spinnaker has seen light use
A lot of time in sailboats is spent in the cockpit and this is an area where the 445 shines. Teak slatted seating for eight around a large table with storage and beverage holders. A big wheel gives a nice feel to the helm. The helm seat flips down allowing access the the large swim step.
The Beneteau 445 offers a spacious and comfortable interior. Forward you will find an owner's stateroom with a large center line queen berth and master bath. The main saloon has generous seating around an large oval table, making every place a comfy spot. The galley features a fridge/freezer(inop), double stainless steel sinks, a three burner propane stove, and generous light and ventilation to make kitchen duties a pleasure.
There are two mirrored staterooms aft featuring large double beds and complete heads. All of the interior is warmed nicely by a Webasto Diesel Furnace(powers up, may work).
**DISCLAIMER* This vessel cannot currently be moved under its own power. She requires a new shaft seal and the engine will require a good once over prior to running.**
